WISE GAINS LEADS, LISTINGS, AND $500 AT HER OPEN HOUSE

Pat Wise of the West Cobb office has been in real estate for over 10 years. One of the major contributing factors to her success has been holding open houses.

Wise had her mother-in-law’s home in Roswell listed for sale. Because it was so close to downtown Roswell, a high-traffic area, she had held the home open 4 times, 3 of which were Super Sunday events. She decided to hold it open again and she advertised the open house on GaMLS. A woman who was looking for a home for her parents found the listing and decided to attend the open house.

The woman showed up that day with her parents. After talking with Wise and touring the home, the parents decided they wanted to purchase it. But first they needed to sell their current home in West Cobb, which they listed with Wise. They also wrote a contingency offer on the home in Roswell that they would purchase it if Wise was able to sell their home. Wise had their home under contract in 30 days!

Not only did Wise gain a new listing and a potential buyer for her current listing, she also won the $500 Super Sunday drawing that month!

Open houses have been a great tool for Wise in marketing her listings and picking up new leads. She has sold homes while holding them open in addition to picking up new buyers and listings. “This is the fun part of real estate for me,” Wise commented. “I like hosting open houses because it gives you the opportunity to meet people and figure out what they are all about. Then hopefully help them find a house, too!”

The next Super Sunday Open House event is being held on October 9, 2011. Buyers can use the Super Sunday website (http://supersunday.metrobrokers.com/) to search the available open houses, and even plot their course using the Google Maps integration.

The Super Sunday program began in 2007 as a method of combining all of BHGRE Metro Brokers’ open house efforts one day a month, so that buyers can easily locate an open house in their area. Buyers can use the Super Sunday website, http://supersunday.metrobrokers.com/, to search the available open houses, and even plot their course using the Google Maps integration. To sweeten the deal, one lucky registrant is randomly drawn to win $1,000 after each event! Since its inception, there have been more than 10,000 Super Sunday open houses held in metro Atlanta with more than 15,000 attendees.
