The newest months supply reports became available from SmartNumbers, a real estate tracking service in Georgia, and the numbers show a continuing drop in inventory for metro Atlanta.

In Aug., the months supply dropped below 11 months for the first time since 2007, and currently stands at 10.8 months. Months supply declined in all price ranges, especially for homes priced under $125K, which is only 5.3 months. New homes inventory is also decreasing (11.4 months now compared to 14.6 last Nov.).

This proves business is picking up, since buyers want to take advantage of the $8,000 Tax Credit before the Nov. deadline.
